Sankalpa Languaging: the Key to Unlocking Your Practice's Full Potential
Swami Anandakumar Saraswati says that “...sankalpa has the potential to release tremendous power by clearly defining and focusing on a chosen goal. Its effect is to awaken the willpower within by uniting the conscious awareness with the unconscious forces lying dormant. It takes the form of a short phrase or sentence, clearly and concisely expressed, using the same wording each time, to bring about a positive change in one’s life.”
Sankalpa is traditionally used in Yoga Nidra to set a resolution. The process of realizing one’s sankalpa is the first step in having one’s goal come into fruition.
During my class I will demonstrate and share with you several techniques to know your heart’s true sankalpa, to find possible limiting beliefs keeping you from your sankalpa, and to ways to word your sankalpa to strengthen its potential power and effectiveness. I will also show you a new way to say your sankalpa that takes it beyond the realm of chanting into speaking it with such authority and power that it becomes manifest with ease.
My class is a combination of talking, writing, meditating and light stretching. Please bring a pen, a flexible mind, and a desire for real change.
