Bob Hoffa

In 1986, I stepped into my first yoga class not knowing that I would spend the next twenty plus years cultivating a life of value and meaning through this transformative practice.

After many years studying Iyengar Yoga, I began taking classes with The Yoga Experience founder Ulla Lundgren in 2002. Here I found a new love in Anusara Yoga®. With its incredibly effective principles of alignment, its non-dual philosophy of intrinsic goodness, and its welcoming embrace of community, Anusara Yoga blasted my slowly progressing yoga practice through the roof.

I am blessed to have John Friend, Noah Maze, and Darren Rhodes and Ulla Lundgren as my primary hatha yoga teachers, and to have Dr. Douglas Brooks as my guiding light in the study of the goddess traditions of Rajanaka yoga philosophy (Srividya).

I currently hold an Anusara Inspired Yoga Teacher credential, and after a wonderful journey of more than six years of intensive study and teaching I am nearing full Anusara Teacher Certification.

My classes are challenging, empowering, inspiring, and contemplative. I often weave stories, myths, and teachings from the broader scope of yoga into my asana instruction. My intention as a teacher is to help each student access her/his truest nature and express it with passion and joy.

I hope that you will join me for my workshop at this year’s Flagstaff Yoga Festival:

Upside Down and Inside out: intermediate inversions, meditation and pranayama
