Anywhere Anytime Any Body Yoga: Everyone no matter what shape, size, health condition or age can practice and receive benefits from a regular yoga practice. Standard Yoga poses are adapted to suit individual needs. The class will also include breathing and meditation techniques. Easy to follow routines that can be practiced at work, sitting at a computer, in nursing homes or any other place that just has a chair. Hints will be offered for adapting yoga to daily life situations. “I Can Do That” is what yoga students have said to other teachers and health-care practitioners as they are not intimidated by something that looks unachievable for their stage in life. The class offers a gentle, supportive and pressure-free environment emphasizing safe postures encouraging students to learn and do what they can. A class that is appropriate for students with MS, Parkinsons, Fybromialgia and Arthritis.
Emily is a certified Trager (R) Movement practitioner and Yoga Instructor (ERYT200). She has taught over 3,400 hours of yoga. A member of the International Yoga Therapist Association, Emily combines her passion and knowledge of movement with meditation, sound, breath, energy and Edgar Cayce healing concepts. An EFT(R) practitioner and a Reiki Master Teacher, Emily has used natural and holistic healing methods since 1994 while healing herself from chronic back pain. Since, she has practiced sound nutrition, yoga, meditation, chi gung, tai chi and other movement therapies to remain in optimum health. Emily is the author of Anywhere Anytime Any Body Yoga, A Practical Guide To Using Yoga In Everyday Life.
