Jonah Jensen
Jonah has been a practitioner of yoga and meditation for over a decade. He lived and studied at the Sivananda Ashram in Northern India where he received his initial yoga teacher training. There he learned the many dimensions of the practice and the subtleties of being a yoga instructor. He has also studied and practiced buddhist meditation at various monasteries and retreats internationally as well as in U.S.
Jonah’s direct teacher in the Sivananda tradition is Swami Govindananda a direct disciple of world renowned Swami Vishnu Devananda.
Jonah has co-instructed Yoga Teacher Trainings in Flagstaff at the Southwest Institute for the Healing Arts. He believes in the efficacy of the oral tradition in which the practices are handed down from teacher to student in an unbroken chain that goes back thousands of years. Jonah is a Licensed Massage Therapist and owner of Earth & Sky Integrative Health located above Sacred Rites & Utopia in downtown Flagstaff. There he provides Energy Medicine, Yoga Instruction & Support, and Integrative Massage & Healing.

You can find Jonah teaching classes in town on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30pm at Northern Arizona Yoga Center, and at 9am on Friday mornings either at the Temple of the Divine Mother (above Sacred Rites on San Francisco st) or at Wheeler Park, depending on the weather ![]()
