Judy Springer and Chris Thornley
Journeying into the Dreamscape with Symphonic Gongs and Sufi Poetry
Join Judy Springer and Chris Thornley for a journey into a world of vibrational sound and energy. We’ll begin by sharing Sufi poetry and then will relax into shivasana for an hour long gong bath before ending the evening with more devotional poetry. The sonic waves of symphonic gongs are believed to clear blockages and reduce stress, and are known to elicit feelings of peace and well-being, to simulate a gentle massage, and to quiet the mind. It’s a very peaceful way to end the weekend and to prepare for the week ahead.
Judy has been practicing several styles of yoga since 2003. She received restorative yoga teacher training from Judith Hanson Lasater and has studied under gong master Don Conreaux. She is currently pursuing an MA in community counseling at Northern Arizona University.
Chris started practicing Anusara yoga in early 2006. He was inspired by the gong after one of Judy’s meditations and has since studied under gong master Don Conreaux. He has played his gong at the bottom of Grand Canyon in Redwall Cavern.
