Finding Inner Peace through Gong and Crystal Bowl Meditation
Sunday, August 1
7-9 p.m.
Join Judy Springer, Chris Thornley and Jennifer Williams for a journey into a world of vibrational sound and energy. We’ll begin with some gentle restorative yoga poses and cleansing breathwork and then relax fully into shivasana while experiencing the sound waves of symphonic gongs and crystal bowls. The sonic waves are believed to clear blockages and reduce stress, and known to elicit feelings of peace and well-being, to simulate a gentle massage and to quiet the mind. It's a very peaceful way to end the weekend and to prepare for the week ahead.
Judy has been practicing several styles of yoga since 2003. She received restorative yoga teacher training from Judith Hanson Lasater and has studied the gong with Don Conreaux. She is currently pursuing an MA in community counseling at Northern Arizona University.
Chris started practicing Anusara yoga in early 2006. He was inspired by the gong after one of Judy's meditations and has since studied under gong master Don Conreaux. He has played his gong at the bottom of Grand Canyon in Redwall Cavern.
Jennifer is a vibrational sound healer and licensed massage therapist and is certified in sound healing, reiki, and cranial sacral therapy (CST). In conjunction with reiki, CST, and essential oils science, Jennifer uses the spiritual consciousness of her voice and frequencies of light and organic instruments to rebalance body, mind and spirit, chakras and energy fields.
