Embodying Archetype and Myth through Yoga
…this is a workshop that I have been developing over the past few years to integrate my 15 years of experience reading, studying and teaching others about Tarot cards and my 15 years of yoga. I was introduced to both yoga and tarot in the same year, when I was 18, so have always considered the two to be very complementary.
To truly gain an understanding of the archetypes of the tarot (a very comprehensive western framework for understanding the human condition and how it relates to the cosmos and creator), I think you need to do more than just memorize meanings, or capture the knowledge in your head. I feel it is possible and preferable to understand the archetypes viscerally… with your whole being… including your body.
In the west, we have lost our spiritual roots, and so often we therefore turn to eastern spirituality to fill in the gaping hole that we feel in our own heritage and spiritual repertoire. I am here to show you that it is still possible to rediscover our western spiritual heritage… and by blending yoga and tarot we begin to do that… sort of like excavating our western spiritual roots.
suitable for all levels…. lots of asana, and lots of talking too
Zen and the Art of Marketing for Yogis
for the past three years, in addition to teaching and studying yoga and tarot, I have also directed the Flagstaff Yoga Festival and run two other successful online businesses for my tarot trainings… through these experiences and my past ten years as an event
organizer, I pulled together an amazing amount of information on the most effective, legitimate marketing practices that every spirituality and wellness practitioner should have a good grasp on. Three years of intensive study and collaboration with the nation’s top wellness marketers and internet and information marketers informed me and educated me above and beyond what I have personally had the opportunity to play with…. with the result that, for the last year or so, it seems that whenever I visit with my friends and peers in the yoga universe, I end up downloading a ton of exciting new marketing ideas and opportunities on them! When I realized that this is pretty much all I ever talk about outside of my passion for yoga and tarot, and that my friends were all soaking up my little marketing downloads and eagerly coming back for more, I realized that I wanted to start teaching spirituality and wellness practitioners how to market each other as well as themselves! This is NOT going to be your average “business of yoga” workshop… this workshop will be a full two hours of the most innovative new practices in marketing in the abundance economy, geared specifically to our spirituality and wellness industries… you’ll not only learn about a wealth of new opportunities for exlopding your own businesses in an ethical way, but also how to get paid for supporting each other, and lifting everyone up together! This isn’t just a pipe dream from The Secret anymore… we now have the technology to absolutely ensure that abundance can truly happen for all of us, now! I promise you’ll walk out of this workshop inspired, and with a real sense of the immediate and divine abundant possibility that is available to us all right now
yeah!!!
