hello yoga festival supporters!

what a week! wow! our web visitors AND facebook group members both soared this week with the advent of our advertising...welcome, new members and supporters!

As of this week our location is official! We will be putting more info about it up on our website very soon... we are officially holding the Flagstaff Yoga Festival at a local Waldorf-inspired school called Pine Forest! yay! I am very enamored with this location for a few reasons: first, it is a perfect space for yoga due to its endearing classes...all of which have beautiful watercolor pastel walls..they just feel wonderful to do yoga in. We did a photo shoot there yesterday and will post photos soon so that you can get a good "feel" for the venue...I think you'll fall in love with it just as I have! This venue also enables us to have food, a small cafe-type room for teas and drinks, a meditation room, etc etc ON SITE...along with space for 4-5 bodyworkers...so you will be able to stay on-site all day if you choose to (this is such a good idea when you're doing lots of yoga etc...getting behind the wheel of a card can really pull you "out" of your experience).
The school's location is also less than a mile from a Himalayan restaurant, am Indian restaurant, two day spas and several hotels...and we are going to have a shuttle service doing a loop of these businesses to help the attendants have a car-free festival experience! All tips to the shuttle drivers will go toward the same cause that all of our facility rental will be contributed towards: Pine Forest's campaign to build a green, sustainable school for their children! (can you think of a more worthy cause?!!) They are in escrow on their new property right now...which will in all likelihood be the location of the 2nd annual yoga festival: 10 acres of forest off route 66!

Another great thing about this location: it is walking distance (no shuttle required) from three great hotels: The Days Inn on 66, the Rodeway Inn on 66, and The Radisson Woodlands hotel on rt 66...the Radisson is offering their $139 rooms to our festival attendees at $119/night! They have an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, a pool, and a sauna on site, as well as two restaurants on site...one is Japanese (Sakura) and the other is American (Woodlands Cafe)... to book a room at this rate, call the hotel directly and let them know that you are a part of the Flagstaff Yoga festival group.
We will also have a block of rooms at the Springhill Suites by Marriott, who are offering us rooms at $109..they will include a full cooked breakfast with your stay, and although are not walking distance, we will be driving the shuttle by their location...
Another hotel offering us a $135 rate is Little America. Although not close enough to the festival to be on our shuttle route, Little America is an amazing facility, with hiking trails on their property and a heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi, and a restaurant on site.
More events have been added to the festival this week as well! check out the schedule of events at Flagstaffyogafestival.com for full details of the now more-than-80 offerings. New this week are our three kirtan offerings on all three evenings, and a keynote from author Kimberly Kingsley entitled "Portals of Peace", plus two workshops in the Sivananda tradition from Jonah Jensen!
Our children's track is also shaping up, with only 16 slots remaining at this time!
IN ADDITION to these new additions to the festival, we are now accepting credit cards on our website! Visa and Mastercard are accepted via a secure system.
REMEMBER: the early bird registration deadline is fast approaching! book your pass today! ...and, as always, if you have any questions about the festival, please do not hesitate to contact me at flagstaffyogafestival@gmail.com

In gratitude,
