Tea Time Yoga

 

"Tea Time Yoga"...yoga sitting in a chair.  Yoga for people who are not comfortable being on the floor or have difficulty getting up or down from the floor.  I have been using this method since last fall and it has been beneficial for people in recovery from surgery, illness, joint replacement as well as people of advanced age.  We do some standing postures using the chair for balance and security.

Sally Y, RYT/CYT has been practicing yoga for 30 years and obtained her 200 level teaching certification through ChiYoga Institute in 2001. She has studied with many teachers including Brian Miller, Paul Grilley, Johnny Kest, Sri Dharma Mittra, Roger Cole, Shiva Rea to name a few. Her time with Dr. Howard and Judith Lasater has had a profound influence on her teaching. From Dr. Howard she often quotes, "Baby the joint, bully the muscle." From Judith Lasater, "Rest and renew." Sally is an accountant, a published author, a poet, a performer and is the mother of three grown children and a grandmother of three grandsons.
