Since 2001, Sarah Starr, host of internationally syndicated “Happy Yoga with Sarah Starr” has conducted classes such as “Power of Now” and “Breathing Peace” with thousands of people in local and national workshops and conferences, recently sharing the stage with Marianne Williamson at her Sister Giant Event in L.A. Her work has been featured in international publications, radio and a variety of podcast interviews, including "Inspire Me Today." Having began her Ashtanga based practice in 1998 with Kathleen Kelly Hoffman, certified yoga instructor Sarah Starr, has since studied under the guidance of teachers David Swenson, Doug Swenson, Beryl Bender Birch, Michael Stone, Baron Baptiste, Rod Stryker, Rolf Gates and Rangani Cobo, MD. Sarah encourages her students to relax, breathe and smile, as they become the watchers of their thoughts, worries and distracting mind dialogue. "If your not having fun, you're not doing Yoga." "Loving Yourself Warts and All, The Yoga Practice"_ Sarah will gently guide you through a series of stretches and flowing yoga poses designed to increase stamina, as well as to cultivate the practice of compassion and kindness for oneself. Enjoy a flowing yoga practice to help you experience the peace and aliveness of the now. Our bodies are more than just a physical form. They can also be a portal into a new way of being in the world. This asana practice focuses on an exploration of a core/flow combination, including a liberating back bending vinyasa flow, ending with an inspirational “Invoking Joy Meditation” leaving you to feel focused, energized and empowered. "Breathing Peace"_ This workshop focuses on learning to breathe in a natural healthy way that can help with various medical conditions including: insomnia, low energy, high blood pressure and so on. "Breathing properly increases our longevity and supports our quest for well-being, self-realization and self transformation." Use your breath to navigate through troubled times easily, gracefully and masterfully. How we breathe reflects who we are and the manner in which we express ourselves-physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This workshop is a wonderful resource for anyone who wishes to improve his or her health and vitality through the breath. Exploring the miracle that happens when you say "Yes" to what is. The focus is on meditation techniques, breathing practices and group mindfulness experiments to bring awareness to your mind, body and breath. Starr teaches to allow yourself to bring joy and acceptance to all that you do, as you immerse yourself in the moment.
