Susan Rexford is a teacher and healer who works with yoga, yoga therapy and cranio sacral therapy, helping people release suffering and come into more authenticity, peace and joy. Her work offers healing on the body, mind and spirit levels, and allows people to come into connection with their true divine selves. After years slogging away as a misfit in careers in library science and corporate marketing, Spirit sent a wake-up call in the form of chronic fatigue syndrome. To heal herself, she began to learn about yoga, meditation, chi gong and alternative therapies, and found that these were also bringing about spiritual transformation. It became natural to want to help others heal and transform. She completed Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy certification in 2001, and received her yoga teaching certification from the Temple of Kriya Yoga six months later. She spent 8 years teaching yoga and meditation in Chicago, where she especially enjoyed working with people with physical injury and emotional trauma. She was also led to study at the Sacred Journey Institute, and received certification in 2008. This program is based in cranio sacral therapy and encompasses energy work and facilitating travel to other lives. It led her deep into her intuitive self, and she began doing distance healing, which allows her to work directly with a person’s energy using cranio sacral, energy and shamanic techniques. As a volunteer at the Marjorie Kovler Center, she used her work to ease the trauma of survivors of political torture. She was recently called to move to Flagstaff, where she continues her work in between immersing herself in nature.
